A small beautiful city and a perfect destination for a pleasure holiday. My wife and I were all set to explore this new adventurous city and this was made possible by Travelife. Travelife took care of everything accommodation, sightseeing, adventurous activities, pick up, drop everything. And believe me every moment spent there was priceless.
Our stay in Kali Adventure Camp was surrounded with cozy rooms and tented cottages. It is ultimate destination for true lovers of Wilderness. The range of outbound activities offered at the camp includes jungle safaris, coracle rides, bird watching, walks and visits to primitive caves and viewpoints.
We left in our jeeps around 8 in the morning after sipping hot cup coffee, feeling cool breeze no trace of hot sunrays. The jeeps dropped us at a certain point as we had to start walking and this walking took almost forever. After all the walking and climbing few stairs down we reached a small cave, inside this cave was a tiny Linga. Visiting the cave in and out we started our way to kali river, all plans set for swimming. Munched hot idlis and vadas served just by the side of the river and jumped into the river. enjoyed being in water for an hour and then we moved towards the point where the jeep had dropped us. Reached the point and in an hour we were in the resort got ready and finished a heavy and completely authentic style lunch. Must say that Karnataka Cuisine has a long list of delicious dishes.
Late in the evening we had to go for a jungle walk/night walk as per the schedule organized by Travelife. A guide was with us it was pitch dark and we were walking one behind the other, this did remind us of our school days following our teacher. We were strictly instructed to remain as quiet as possible so that we don’t disturb the wild. We sat there for a while heard the sounds of crickets, other insects and a few birds. This turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life.
Satisfied with the adventure of entire day we ended resting into a cozy cottage at the resort.
