Kaziranga National Park



Located on the banks of Brahmaputra River is one of the best tiger reserve called as Kaziranga National Park. It’s in the north eastern part of India in Assam and covers an area of about 430 sq kms. Due to extreme geographical location, the park offers a gigantic range of flora and fauna.

Kaziranga is popularly known for the significant achievement story of preservation of the one Horned India Rhinoceros and other wild lives. Besides the rhinoceros the major wildlife attractions includes a huge population of Indian Elephants, Bison, Swamp Deer, Sloth Bears, Tiger, Leopard cats, Jungle Cats, Capped Langurs, Hoolock Gibbons, Wild Boar, Jackal, Wild Buffalo, Pythons, and Monitor Lizards. Kaziranga is also called as birding paradise which includes oriental honey buzzard, black shouldered kite, several kinds of eagles, Himalayan griffon. Kaziranga is best visited during the month of November and early April months. Due to heavy monsoons the Bramhaputra River bursts its banks, which in turn causes the animals to migrate from one place to another within Kaziranga National Park.
