Kanha National Park



Kanha National Park is one of the india’s finest tiger reserves. Kanha national park is more famous for its wildlife, the natural beauty of its landscape and it’s known to be in shape of horse shoe valley. This park bounds by the spurs of the mekal range and also it presents a varied topography. It’s is considered as the most spectacular protected wildlife reserves of the world.

Another reason Kanha has inspired Rudyard Kipling to write the English classic – The Jungle Book. The wildlife in Kanha National Park includes various species but its popular for exclusively one known as Barasingha or otherwise known as swamp deer. These deer faced extinction few years back but appropriate measures have been taken to save them. Apart from swamp many are included such as tiger, bison, gaur, sambar, jackal, barking deer, porcupine, jungle cat, hyena, chital mongoose and leopard. Avifauna is also about 350 species available across the National Park for bird watching. The forest of Kanha is deciduous hardwood, plus sal, with stands of bamboo and accented with colourful displays of flowering trees. The basin and plateaus are first and foremost meadowlands in lovely distinction to the neighboring flourishing woodlands.

The wildlife is best experiential from the elephant back and makes the chance of sightings sensibly good. You can also go Jeep Safari which is again a great experience for exploring Kanha National Park. Also there is a museum at Kanha which presents tribal life, attributes and activities of Madhya Pradesh. Visiting Kanha is ideal during April to June also form November to January, basically it’s closed during the monsoons as it pours heavily.
