Pandavapura - Town of pandavas...

‘Town of Pandavas’ and so is the name Pandavpura. Pandavapura features during the Mahabharata period and it is said that pandavas ended their exile of 14 years here. Here is where Bheema slayed Bakasure, the demon.

After Indian independence these rocky hills called as “Kuntti Betta” by locals. Also the French named the small town as “French rocks”, as the town is in the vicinity of two rocky hills. Apart from the rocks, Pandavapura lake is a beautiful place to visit. The full view Pandavapura lake at the base of the hill could be seen only from the hilltop.

The view from the top of the hill is astounding with alternate square sugarcane and paddy fields spread like a design on a quilt till the horizon. While the clouds formed shadows on the lake, the color of the sky & the sun created magic of the surface of the lake.
